Forgive me if these have been posted already. I know this subject has come
up before and so I thought some might be interested. I don't have full
access, but these are worth looking at:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17651080
Quote: "Coconut oil should be used in the treatment of fungal infections in
view of emerging drug-resistant Candida species."

and

Novel antibacterial and emollient effects of coconut and virgin olive oils
in adult atopic dermatitis.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19134433

And for those of you looking for a cheap, non-toxic, and very effective
underarm deodorant, try a tiny bit of coconut oil rubbed in with a pat of
baking soda on top. Truly amazing! I tried this after baby #2 because I
was *stinky* and I didn't want to confuse the new babe with any strong
smelling fragrances/chemicals. It worked like a charm and I use it to this
day.
