Since the discussion on mixing breastmilk and artificial infant food, I need to ask another question that I'm sure has been covered, but I am not very successful at searches yet.

What exactly is lost (if anything) when breastmilk is frozen? I know that fresh is preferred, and that "processing" any food changes it, but what happens?

Thanks.Patricia Ellis, RN, MA, IBCLC
