Agree you might want to make waves here, but if you dont' couldnt' you
refer this mom to LLL or another LC for some other ideas? Hopefully
someone will tell her about herbs or link her up with another mom whose
been there, done that.
Very difficult call re the culture of the milk. I'm assuming they quit
giving the milk to the baby. With these very tiny fragile babies it is a
whole different ballgame than with a term baby. But I would encourage
the mom to keep expressing even if they have to do cultures periodically
so that she can nurse the baby again some time in future.
