Hi all,
I'd like to thank Sandra and Valerie and anyone else that has contributed to
the discussion regarding breastmilk contaminants particularly PDBEs (right
acronym?).
It has been fascinating but depressing and I find myself wanting to just
forget about it as it seems such an insurmountable foe BUT as breastfeeding
professionals we can't do that. I think that Sandra is right, in that we need
to make our cohesive voice known.
Sandra et al, Do you think it might be helpful for you to create a "stock"
letter for us all to copy etc. and send to whom you deem to be appropriate
recipients?
I also wonder if the mechanics of the formula industry ie. formula or bottle
manufacture
etc. increase at all the release of these chemicals? If so, could this be
used in our case for breastfeeding?
