I agree that it appears to  be dose related.  And I also believe that fluid
milk seems to be more of a problem.  My opinions from clinical
observations.

I have also noticed that amount of dairy that a mom uses that causes
effects in baby seems to be dose related.  Like baby can tolerate mom using
cow milk on  her cereal, but can't tolerate mom drinking a gallon (4 L) of
milk a day - which believe it or not I have seen some women do!

I also think that advertising has become a major factor in
awareness r/t lactose intolerance.  Whether it is real or not, good or bad
