Hi, All: I ran across an interesting glossy paperback book on
breastfeeding put out by a baby products company (Johnson & Johnson) in the
grocery store over the weekend. The only piece of real obvious
misinformation that I could see as I glanced thru it was that, according to
the book, fresh EBM could be kept for only 24 hours in the fridge. The
freezer guidelines were rather conservative, too, if I recall. Otherwise,
the book was interesting. There were a lot of color photos of a variety of
moms/babies (all ages, all colors, all types of situations). There were
many pictures of moms/babies nursing, reasonably covered. The complaint I
get from many moms about brstfdg books/videos, is that moms are "hanging
out". Not so in this book - gives a mom an idea of what others see (or
not) while she is nursing, without "obvious" coverups. Overall, I was
impressed with what I was able to scan while in the checkout line. If
anyone else has or sees this book, I'd be interested in more feedback. I
also recall that it wasn't too expensive.
