There are no studies to my knowledge studying breastfeeding before circs and
complications (aspiration). It is unlikely any will be done because it is
considered unethical to expose an infant to the "risk" of aspiration.
Infants who are upset immediately after eating do vomit and aspirate
sometimes.

Likewise, I would like to see the results of a study in humans decribing the
relative inflammatory response (in newborns) of the tracheo-bronchial tree to
water, D5W, D10W, NS, breastmilk, formulas. It will never be done, for
obvious reasons.

As breastmilk empties quickly from the stomach 30-60 minutes should be
sufficient. No surgeon would do surgery on a patient with a full stomach,
whether or not anesthesia was used.
