You were right to get the Risk Management person involved.  Misusing a
product in a manner it was not designed for spells trouble.

Any possible way a bottle nipple is used, it won't help breastfeeding,
rather hinder.  I use Kittie Franz' 'Breastfeeding Techniques that Work'
as a tool to teach mothers what happens when baby gets exposed to a
bottle nipple, then tries to breastfeed.  It is an excellent teaching
tool.  It is copyrighted so don't abuse it.  They are available for
purchase  for $10  a pad of 100 sheets.  This can be used to teach many
breastfeeding basics besides what bottle nipples do to hinder success.
For moms who are visual learners, it is especially good to use.
