Here is another letter I received, this one a couple of days ago.  For your
interest.  Kathleen Bruce encouraged me to send it, after the other on
lithium.  She congratulated me for the success of the mother on lithium.
But I must be honest, for neither of these women did I do anything except
give information.  The mothers are the ones who deserve the congratulations.
I don't mind the nice strokes, though, and accept them gladly.

I don't know if you'll remember me as you are in touch with so many moms
daily. I wrote to you at Easter asking you if there was any means for me to
breastfeed my adopted son. You sent me invaluable information and support.
Within one week of first speaking to the adoption agency, our son was home
with us! It was under this short notice that we received your e-mail and
advice. I want to THANK YOU for your input as we are certain it has changed
our lives absolutely. Not only have I been able to enjoy a closer bond with
my baby through breastfeeding, but he is certainly enjoying better health as
a result of having breastmilk exclusively. It took me 2 weeks to build up my
milk to match his needs. In that 2 weeks, we were given frozen breastmilk
from another adopted mom you know named Dorothy. Between you both, you have
provided for the increased happiness and health of my family. I can't
possibly thank you enough for such an incredible gift. It's important you
know the impact you have had on our lives. I have spoken to many other moms
who's mothering experiences have either been saved or improved by your
profound imput. Thank you is not nearly adequate.
