Pam writes, "Simply put, breastfeeding duration is increased if a mom finds a way to successfully incorporate it into HER lifestyle."
Well said-although we would do things differently, we shouldn't judge a mom and her individual choices. Let's help her be successful-and this includes her definition of success and not ours.

(and I recently had to remind myself this very thing when a friend stopped breastfeeding at 6 weeks because it didn't fit her lifestyle. I will never EVER understand this as I just never felt nursing was a burden, but I have to realize that not everyone feels this way. I helped her to get her breastfeeding relationship established, but only she could take it further. Sigh...... :(
