Unfortunately, mom may have a difficult time with atarax as well because 
it is also an antihistamine.   Zyrtec is actually a metabolite of 
Atarax.  Atarax may also cause a problem because it tends to be 
incredibly sedating, which will not help with the night time 
feedings......although mom would probably like it really well for her 
sleep issues.  It sounds like you may have a long road ahead with this 
mom and baby, although  since she is seeking assistance, it sounds like 
she is committed!
