The Pump in Style comes with standard with 24mm flanges and for many moms that is way too small for comfort and efficient milk removal. Letting her heal for a few days won't be helpful if the flanges are a poor fit and she returns to pumping using the same size. 

We often see large increases in volume pumped and comfort simply by switching flange sizes.
