I see in the ILCA Globe that Chris, who many of you know from Lactnet and
some of you know in person, received this year's 'Above and Beyond' award
from ILCA. I quote: "Chris has been one of ILCA's most dynamic and creative
members since our organization was founded in 1985. She has served on the
Board of Directors, as an active member of numerous committees, and as
ILCA's official representative at many international conferences and events.
Her many talents, including an incisive and clear writing style, have
produced quality documents promoting ILCA's position on a wide variety of
issues. Chris has given generously of her time and energy, often "above and
beyond" what was asked."

One of Chris's other talents, or maybe it should be termed a natural
resource, is her laugh, which is frequent and infectious and extremely
pleasurable to hear. I haven't done actual biochemical tests but my
clinical impression is that it promotes secretion of oxytocin in all who
hear it.

It's a well-deserved award and I think I'm the first to congratulate her on
it here on the list :-)
