Hi all - and thanks so much for: helping me find a wonderful
research opp (showing that b/f babies skulls are different than form.
fed ones -- apparently the palate of bottle-fed people gets v-shaped
and changes the entire ear/nose/ throat structure: Dr. Brian Palmer
is doing some wonderful work); and for the info on ovarian cancer
stats, although I am still looking for the hard data on b/f reducing
ovarian cancer risk.

Now. I have another friend who is getting her doctorate in Spanish
lit and has been translating for the Hispanic community around here
for a while, volunteer. She is very interested in doing something
just for Spanish-speaking moms, as she does not feel their b/f needs
are well-met through our decidely W.A.S.P (though very supportive and
nice) LLL groups in town. She would like to have the support of LLL
materials and heirarchal system, but is daunted by the long
application process and also the fear that she might be called on
(for instance, in odd situations) to do regular meetings, which she
enjoys but does not want to lead. Any ideas here? Peer counselor?
She definitely does not want to leave her son (14 mos) at all; the
peer conselor we know here has more of a strict job agenda that her
son can't be a part of:(
Thanks for any/all ideas -- this woman has spent her life
helping the poor and underprivileged, and I know she would
make a great b/f counselor.
