Permission to post:  first time mother with 4 month old infant.  Infant is gaining weight and growing well.  Mother reports taking antibiotics for Mastitis at 3 months, also began taking Lecithin at this point. Mother unsure of lecithin dosage states taking "5 capsules a day".  Mother sometimes states she is engorged and sometimes calls it plugged ducts.  Today mother presented with 2 inch by 2 inch hard painful lump in right breast.  States she has one good week with no lumps/plugged ducts/engorgement, followed by one week of painful breast.  Upon phone follow up several hours later, mother states, "got it to break free".  Mother is getting frustrated with the pain; any suggestions to eliminate the "bad weeks" would be extremely helpful.
