I like Dr. Jack's article "Breasts: Diagnosis and Treatment" in The Canadian
Journal of Pediatrics (given to me by someone who attended his talk in
Jackson, MS, USA), vol 7(3), Sept 96. It states "If the mother is able, she
should continue to nurse on the affected side. I believe there is no doubt
of this being the best approach, which hastens healing while decreasing the
risk of abscess formation." p. 474.
