I am beginning to write my dissertation proposal in social policy. My
research area is breastfeeding in the workplace.
I am interested in looking at barriers/obstacles faced by employers
(managers, foremen, CEOs, etc.) in supporting breastfeeding in their
work places.
Two questions for lactnetters:
1. I have found a good deal of research on mothers who breastfeed
and work but very little on the attitudes of employers. I have looked in
business, social science, and medical databases. Does anyone know of
any research in which the employer is the subject.
2. I am looking for possible finding sources to complete this research.
It occurred to me that breast pump companies may be interested in
supporting such research.
Does anyone have any suggestions regarding funding or possible
people to contact at a breast pump company?
Please respond on private e-mail.
Thank you for your help.
