I have no evidence base for this question, either, but can tell you that my 
daughter has worked at a couple of day care centers that use the crock pot 
for warming bottles. I think there are 2 reasons it works for them. 1. It keeps 
the water a fairly constant and predictable temp all day. 2. They can heat 
several bottles at once. I'd be concerned about what that temp was - my gut 
tells me it's probably too hot for breast milk. Deb
