I cannot quote the source but a major news item two or three months ago
(approx.) mentioned a significant relationship between use of talcum powder
and ovarian cancer.

I took particular note as my sister-in-law died of ovarian cancer.

I recall her showers and talcum powder flying about in the bathroom.
It makes sense when you think about the open reproductive tract and the
ability of sperm and other organisms to ascend, why not ascending talcum
powder which has as its base ? lime dust?

There was no history in the family, but my sister-in-law had lived on a
cattle farm for 30 years. My nephew (in his grief) blamed spraying of
pesticides which had already caused other illness in the family.

I know we were asked not to use talcum powder on babies in the l980's due
to the danger of lung infection (special care nurseries).
