I want to thank those who responded to my post. Many of you stated that the baby will get what he needs from nursing at night. The mom does cosleep but at around 1:00 the baby has become very aggressive, pulling off and on and pushing on her breasts. She tries to keep him going, but has resorted to giving him some formula and then he sleeps otherwise he keeps this up for about two hours. She gave up as she felt the baby was saying I am hungry. Believe me this mother hates formula and felt that she had no other choice. The reason she is so upset is to her formula is horrible food, similar to junk food and she really does not want her baby to have it.The doctor and I have been encouraging her to add a little water to her bottles to stretch the breast milk. The baby's weight is OK, but mom understands that there is a fine line to stretching the breastmilk! Again I wish to thank you who assisted me to assist this mother.
Camille
