Sorry for the sending of the one just previous to this -- the touchpad on
this 'puter is really sensitive!

In point of fact, Heather, the CPSC noted that the number of deaths per year
in cribs that are "furniture related" is 50/year.  The number of infant
deaths per year in adult beds (and we have no idea if they were with another
person in the bed or not) that was furniture/bedding related was 49.

So, if you take non-furniture related deaths out of the equation, the number
of deaths in each place is about equal.  And as I pointed out somewhere else,
why are we only talking about making cribs safer, not making adult beds safer
for children?
