My husband works for the Dept. of Health in Delaware. He was being visited
by a drug rep from a company that makes vaccines. The rep noticed all the
breastfeeding 'stuff' my husband has on his walls, including the great
calendar I got at the LLL Europe conference in England last year (sorry I
don't remember who made it). Steven explained why he had all the bf stuff.
The rep mentioned glowingly that his wife was nursing their 9 month old, and
how great bf was and how wonderful fatherhood was and how healthy the baby
was. Then he said "The only drawback is that I have to get up at night to
go get the baby from its crib and bring it to my wife to nurse, and then
take the baby back to his crib when he's done breastfeeding." My husband
said "Why don't you just keep the baby in bed with you all the time?"

He said the rep's mouth fell open, he looked shocked, then confused, then
the light bulb came on! He said "I've never thought about that. You can
sleep with the baby??" My husband gave him lots of info on cosleeping.

Don't know if the rep tried it. But just an example of how things that seem
perfectly obvious to some are not obvious to all.
