Good story, Sam.
Did you read the third paragraph of our statement...?
It's about the patterns of expectations by parents and society.
It is exactly about this and how we all, as a society, get on the wrong
track with wrong expectations.
That was the weird thing in the underlying study: final participation
criterion was parental perception of crying...
How can they tell it's excessive, if they don't know what is normal and how
babies behave and how they themselves as parents should behave...? :-((
There's loads of insecure attachment going on in the world, in my opinion.

Once again: anyone who sees opportunity to 'flaw' the study, is welcomed.

Thank you, Nikki, for your three cheers! :o))
For yet another period of time, it will 'keep us off the street', as the
saying goes! hahaha
Friday a workshop on brain development for Dutch lc's, Saturday one on
oxytocin for Dutch volunteer bf counsellors.
After that... I want to relax a bit!

Warmly,

Marianne Vanderveen IBCLC, Netherlands
