I need help with a reference to help me out with this mom's provider
Mom has had several courses of antibiotics for recurrent mastitis (we
are working on the reasons for the mastitis). She has classic
symptoms of thrush on her very pink, cracked nipples along with
shooting pain and itching.. Baby has no signs in the mouth or diaper
area.

However...
When she went to get the prescription, her provider whipped out a
"black-light", checked her nipples with it and said she "defiantly"
does not have thrush because the black-light would show it.

I remember that I read the black-light fluorescing the yeast is a
myth but I can't find it. I thought for sure it was in the archives
but no luck. Can any of you help me out?
