My knee problem is not going away (I was told by a knee surgeon that I
need total knee replacement within the year). How would I research what
treatments are available for this condition (torn cartilage which has
been sandpapering the adjacent bones) other than total knee replacement?
Has anyone heard of a procedure being done in Sweden with replacement
cartilage?
I am taking 1500mg of glucosamine sulfate, but I don't know how long it
will take for any positive results, also maybe its too late for me since
the cartilage has disintegrated so much...I think I should read Dr.
Theodakis' book, "The Arthritis Cure"; is anyone familar with it;does
anyone KNOW Dr. Theodakis?
I have varying amounts of pain when I walk, and I love to walk, I also
have a 10-15 minute walk each way to and from the subway.
What I also need help with is communicating with doctors, I have a very
hard time getting them to understand my concerns. It was never made
clear to me that walking X amount of time was worse than walking X + Y
amounts of time, etc...I feel like I have a ticking bomb here, that one
day the choice won't be up to me, since my knees will just give out.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
