Who are all these hospital LC's you are talking about?  What is their training?  Why all the bottles? 5 calls a week seems a fairly significant number. Have you spoke with the LC's? 

I always discuss options with mothers. Even if ideally I believe that pumping after every feed would be the best way to go. It may be more than they can handle. I provide them with pros and cons of all their options and we decide together what a "doable" plan will be. I always let them know that we can modify any plan at any time. Are these LC's following up with their patients?
