These are the major infant formula companies around the world that have
Martek's DHA and AA. I do not know the particular brand names--other than
the American ones. But you can go to Martek web site and get the particular
brand from whatever country you are interested:

Abbott-Similac Advanced, American Home Products, Heinz Watties's Limited,
Mead Johnson-Lipil, Maaborot Products, Novartis Nutrition SA, Royal Numico
NV.

Some people will feel quite comfortable about ingesting genetically modified
organisms. Yet, there is alot of information out there that should make us
hesitate particularly when it is concerned with infants and many preterm
infants. These young ones are most vulnerable to the introduction of foreign
substances in the gut. If genetic modification is such a safe science why
does the biotech industry not label their products? Why must we learn that
these organisms are in our foods after the fact? Don't parents have the
right to know what in essence is in that can of infant formula? Where are
the long term studies done on these substances? Were infants of hiv positive
mothers in Thailand the guinea pigs for this formula? Lots of questions that
I think will never go answered because the infant formula industry has
everybody by the throat and afraid to ask simple questions. Valerie W.
