Recent studies have shown a need for Vit D supplementation in certain
groups (Inner city, heavily clothed mom and baby, northern lats).  Theory
is that it is simpler to  give Vit D to all BF babies than to look at who
is at risk :-(
AAP says NO flouride before 6 mo.
Iron from an outside source in the exclusively BF baby prevents baby from
using bioavailable iron in mom's milk.  Outside iron is NOT rec for BF baby
until outside food sources are introduced around 6 mo.
These are just the facts, and we know they don't get disseminated rapidly
