The manager of our local Ronald McDonald house just contacted our lactation
department (hospital-based) and said that she had recently been to a
conference where one of the speakers had stated that they should remove all
the breast pumps from their facility due to legal and liability issues. (?)
Unfortunately she did not attend that particular session, so she did not
have specifics, but she was going to contact the speaker for more
information. This particular R. McD. House is supplied with several
Hollister SMBs from our rental station, so that mothers from our 60 bed NICU
and other hospitals around town can pump if needed. Has anybody heard
anything about this?

Thanks in advance,

Melinda Lueck, RN, BSN, IBCLC
