Hi Jennifer,

I agree that birth without interventions is the norm to measure all other
births against.

Mothers giving birth in the hospital are often pumped full of IV fluids,
their edema afterwards can be terrible.  Their babies seem to pee a whole
lot the first couple of days.  Do these babies take on excessive amounts of
water before birth?  Could this partly explain the difference in weight
loss?
