My third child had low weight gain at around 5-6 months, my ped at
the time gave me a hard time about it.  A LLL friend suggested adding a
little bit of butter to her cereal, and her gains improved enough to
satisfy the Dr.  (sad comment)  I ended up changing peds, my next one had
had 3 boys who were all tiny babes and toddlers, accepted my petite
daughter just fine.  She is 7 yo next month, weighs 43 pounds.  My mom
told me I was a petite babe and toddler who doubled my birth weight at
one year, in 1959.
