Jessica, I too, hope you are getting an IBCLC into the picture with this mom. I 
had a similar situation with a mom a year or so ago, and some ladies here on 
LactNet were able to help me. I think my next assessment of your mom would 
be to ascertain the degree of edema in her legs and feet and any that is 
futher up. If she had a long induction, and epidural, etc, she probably was 
given as least several liters of IV fluid. That fluid may now be hanging about in 
her breasts. The Reverse Pressure Softening technique might be the thing to 
get her milk flowing. Having all that edema in the breast and areola may be 
physically preventing the milk flow. 

Can anyone on the list direct her to the information on RPS? That was 
Nikki's "invention", wasn't it?
