Milkshare acts as a link between donors and families in need. The milk
is free but you pay costs. It's an informal set up.

Also, is your mother formally a breastfeeding Mum? If so, there are a
few tricks to switching to formula feeding, that another contact I have
may be able to help with. She's a LLLL, who is fostering twins, and is
forbidden from giving them donated human milk under the fostering
contract. She's had a steep learning curve on the differences -
especially when it comes to growth spurts (which the peds claimed
formula babies don't have). So if your adopting mother would like the
contact, I can see if my friend is happy to forward some email support
(she's a bit busy, what with bottle feeding hungry twins).
