Thank you for your very informative posts on autism and for adding to our
education about possible causes.  I, for one, cannot wait to read your paper
once it is published.  I have found this discussion very useful, even if it
is technically not strictly breastfeeding-related.  However, to get this
back on topic, you mentioned that breastfeeding, and bottle-feeding
difficulties may be one of the earliest signs of autism.  Could you elaborate?

One of the most fascinating and frustration observations I have is that when
breastfeeding is becoming too difficult for a mother baby pair, so that the
mother may opt, or feel forced, to bottle-feed (sometimes with her own milk
in the bottle), often the baby is difficult to bottle-feed too - against
every expectation.

Are there any distinct behaviours during breast or bottle-feeding that you
would be able to alert us to?
