I am trying to learn to ask lots of questions... it may be something else,
like how the handouts are being presented by the staff. Maybe the formula
reps have been to see the MDs.On Google I found the Physician Insurers
Assoc. of America analysis of 83,510 closed malpractice claims and suits.
25% allege non medical issues as the basis for claims. 1/3 of those are
related to lack of informed consent. It was at
www.omic.com/resources/riskman/deskref/medicaloffice/general/8.cfm
What is your state's or hospital's definition? Also, be ready to address
the guilt issue, the risks studies (Breasfeeding vs Formula feeding,Gina
Wall is good), and patient satisfaction surveys. It reminds me of
Immaculate Deception, by Susanne Arms. Keep up the good fight, you are the
beacon. Judy
