I've often read here on Lactnet that babies are absolutely not allowed in
United States' courtroom, and remember Liz Baldwin always advising people
not to challenge the judge by trying to bring a baby in.

I always wondered if that was the same in Canada, where our Human Rights
legislation seems to cover breastfeeding in a stronger way.

In the INFACT Canada Newsletter Spring 2003 (not yet posted on their
website), it notes:
"In April, the Quebec Human Rights Commission awarded a woman $1,000 after a
security guard kicked her out of a Montreal municipal courtroom for nursing
her infant."
Obviously, babies (and breastfeeding) are allowed in courtrooms in Quebec.
