Dear Dr. Jack, et al.,

My dear friend, who is breastfeeding her almost one year old, went in for a
physical and was found to have a high level of cholesterol (233).  She is
going in for a follow-up to determine the HDL/LDL ratio.  She would like to
go in well informed.

I've searched the Lactnet archives on this topic and remember reading
something about lactating women having "high" cholesterol levels, but I
haven't been able to find what are acceptable levels, or references that
she may share with her physcian.

Weaning is not an option.  Adjustment of her diet is.
