All organs only start to be medical issues if and when they aren't functioning as they should.
Most breastfeeding issues have nothing to do at all with non-functioning body parts or organs, but with failure to understand how the process of lactation within the mother-baby dyad works. That is really more psychological than medical, both in mothers and in HCPs.
The same with pregnancy and childbirth. It has to with bodyparts and organs, but is not a medical issue at all until the organs don't work as intended. Most problems are about not understanding how the process of pregnancy and childbirth really works and then medically intervening in natural processes.
At least 80% of all healthy women who will conceive naturally will be able to be pregnant and give birth and feed their offspring with no medical intervention at all. Mental support ad "being there" of one or more experienced women will do fine for most.

Warmly,

Gonneke, IBCLC, LLLL, in southern Netherlands, where snow covered the daffodils this night.
