I'd say that it is time for some revision of your staff policy concerning
breastfeeding. It is not up to the nurses to choose feeding method, and
convenience for nurse does not and should not enter when deciding what to
feed baby when.

It seems to me that the policy needs to be set regarding breastfeeding, and
if staff for some reason do not feel that they can support breastfeeding as
per the 1997 statement by the AAP concerning breastfeeding, then they might
find a job that is more to their liking elsewhere.

It is amazing how much personal experience colors professional judgement
and expertise when it comes to breastfeeding. This topic needs more study.
I would have about 10 seconds patience with this type of attitude if I was
working at such a place. Maybe 5 seconds.
