Dear Sally,
She could need to have that opened up and drained. I did have a mother
who had a small abscess in her nipple! It sounds infected. Is she
washing well with a washcloth and milk soap twice a day? She could have
a biofilm protecting the area underneath as well so she need to clean
the surface well. Also, maybe topical Medihoney if antibiotic cream is
not working?
Good luck! If she will let you take a photo this would help us.
Warmly,
