Yes, it is a double-edged sword. Each of these components will be too
expensive though -- multiple bm ingredients will not be found in formulas.
Formulas dropped their "immune-protecting" nucleotides when they began
adding "brain protecting" DHA. Only one expensive formula that I've seen
has both, (and even many well-to-do parents don't seem to think it's worth
the extra money). The new ingredients are used as new big marketing angles,
while not mentioning that the last ingredient that was so important is now
dropped. The cost of a formula that has many bm components would be
forboding -- would likely be classified as a "medicine." That's a good
thing, I think.

These ingredients may make nice medicines that some of us may use ourselves
some day, as I'm concerned about the growth hormones in whole breastmilk
when used as cancer therapy for adults.
