Only Dr. Jack could've written:
>Actually, the man needs more heavy duty treatment because the knife cut so
close to *the* psychologically emotional part.

Boy do I agree fully, and did I ever lay the heavy duty treatment on my
husband! >:) He got his vasectomy while I was expecting baby #3, and
while I made certain that his drinking cup never ran dry, had meals brought
to him, and always had a fresh ice pack ready to go. I reminded him
frequently (at least once an hour) how I had over 30 stitches after the
birth of my first child (not even a c-sect for that many sutures!) and he
didn't even have one tiny stitch.

I also applied the heavy duty treatment with him by bringing out the bottle
of ibuprofen that I was sent home with after giving birth, and showing him
the multitude of meds he had, and reminded him that he got VALIUM in order
to even get snipped in the first place! All I got was a few abdominal
breaths to make it through! (I also made sure I pressed my pregnant belly
against him at night when the baby kicked hardest. "Could you move over
please, the baby's kicking me!")

Psychological is right, and I made sure he got heavy duty treatment that
spoke volumes to the psychological side. >:)

I also got "paybacks" after I had an unmedicated birth with no tears. After
coming home, I didn't cook for weeks, and I never had an empty drinking
cup. :) Too bad he couldn't have experience the knife being so close to
the psychologically emotional side sooner (without the snipped vas part)!
