Dear Lactnetters,
It has been many months since I was last on Lactnet and today I have "set
lactnet mail" to renew my access.
I have a query, which I thought of when noticing a mild instance of
vasospasm in one finger. It is always ever one finger, never the other
fingers, and there is no apparent reason why it is this one and not the
others.
This set me wondering whether any of you have observed whether some mothers
with nipple vasospasm have it only unilaterally. Have you seen a mother
with nipple vasospasm on only one side? Is it consistently the same side?
If so, is this the side with poorer latch, i.e. more pressure? I can't
recall ever seeing one-sided nipple vasospasm, but I wasn't looking for it.
Best regards,
Virginia
