I am analyzing data for a master's thesis using grounded theory
(qualitative research). I've found that my entire study group of postpartum
breastfeeding women (who were interviewed weekly, one through six weeks)
were pumping by six weeks. I've been unable to find any research backing
this up so far. Is there evidence of this other than anecdotal experiences
of LCs reporting that most women start pumping in three to six weeks? Is
this related to educational or income levels that you've seen? Is this the
influence of modern society? Thanks for your assistance!
