I have parents sign a release in hospital stating they understand usage and cleaning instructions and that tubing is good for one week unless it becomes brittle.  Use Jack Newmans instructions on lactation aide usage to compile release form.  When my daughter used this her pediatrician wrote a prescription for extra tubes and syringes (only good for 24-48 hours).  I can't remember the price but still cheaper than formula in the long run.
