Any information you can give me for a lady who is 36 l/2 weeks pregnant
with Diabetes who presented at 35 weeks with acute groin and hip pain.
MRI confirmed Transitory Osteoporosis of Pregnancy.
Could not find much information...just a page from Ruth Lawrence's book.
Her current meds are Morphine, Fentenyl patch, Insulin, and Calcium
supplements.
She very much wanted to breastfeed. She was an infertility patient with poly
cystic ovaries.
She has been told she should not breastfeed because of the estrogen causing
the osteoporosis.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
