Hoping you wise ones can help me.  PTP:  mom sent from MD clinic today who is nursing 3-week old and for past week, has shooting, burning breast pain on SIDES of both breasts that occurs between feedings.  The pain is only occasional and lasts for minutes but is quite painful.  She has no signs of plugged ducts or mastitis and has never been diagnosed with Raynaud's but has some nipple blanching that turns colors (white, red, blue) and pain when exposed to cold.  Nipples intact and look fine.  She takes BP med also.  We were thinking maybe referred pain from nipple blanching?  Any comments or ideas as to what may be causing this?
