Fathers helping out: unorthodix perhaps, but not unknown.
After my husband had been the youngest for ten years my mother in law got
twins boys some 40+ years ago. Whith the rigid rules in those days she had
engorgement ofcourse (feeding twins every 4 hours) that developed into a mastitis.
My father in law used to proudly explain how he had to help making the milk
flow again by suckling untill the "thick milk" came out. MIL managed to feed her
twins sons for 6 weeks untill "al milk was gone".
