This is to Dawn who received the incredible letter from the pediatricians
regarding not talking about tongue-tie or clipping. Whew, thank goodness I
live in a little town with family physicians (no specialists) who are open
to new ideas! Several of the doctors here have been clipping at my request,
and if they agreed with my assessment, for many years. Usually all it took
were the articles from JHL.

Something you might find helpful is a video on tongue-tie and frenotomy done
by a Canadian family physician. This info may already be in the archives--I
didn't look--but will post again. The video is by Dr. Evelyn Jain and name
of the video is "Tongue-Tie: Impact on Breastfeeding--Complete management
including frenotomy."

Now, I realize there are a number of barriers for male US pediatricians to
accept this video: she's not a specialist, she's female, and she's a
Canadian (sorry to make assumptions, but I've been told these are barriers),
but what the heck, it might help The video shows a frenotomy and the video
is geared towards physicians but can be helpful for parents considering
this.

You can email me for ordering info if you're interested.
