Some other interesting medical points about the Day 8 amputation of the

1) in Jewish law, if you have two sons who die from circumcision, you are
exempted from having to cut your third and subsequent sons

2) in order to staunch the bleeding from the blood vessels that are cut, the
Orthodox mohel will put his mouth over the bleeding penis and use his saliva
to try to stop the bleeding.  A boy died and 2 more were very ill in N. Y.
recently because a mohel who was a herpes I carrier passed the virus to the
babies. This prompted the state of N. Y. to develop guidelines which can be
